Of course your door is waterproof and windproof, but it is also secured well enough to prevent burglars from entering through the sliding door. This is ensured by the SKG fittings and the requirements of the Police Quality Mark for Safe Living.
A safe and insulating sliding door
You don’t need to worry about heat loss either: a sliding door combined with HR++ or triple glazing has a very high insulation value, keeping the cold out and the warmth in. We always use laminated safety glass here, which provides extra safety and security to the door.
Of course, we think along with you. Where will the sliding door be located? In the living room along the full width of the house, or in a bedroom with a balcony? This will determine which type of sliding door is the best choice. What will be the sliding direction, and should we install a fly screen?
